1. Our Principles

These terms are designed to be fair, transparent, and respectful of your rights. We believe legal documents shouldn't require a law degree to understand.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the Pulsyn website (getpulsyn.com), placing a pre-order, creating an account, or using any Pulsyn products or services (including the Pulsyn app), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. We may update these terms from time to time — material changes will be communicated via email and reflected in the effective date above.

3. Pre-Order Terms

The Rune 1 smart ring is currently available for pre-order. By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Payment & Pricing

• The full purchase price of $160 USD is charged at the time of pre-order
• Price is subject to change before final release — your pre-order price is locked in
• Prices do not include applicable taxes, customs duties, or shipping fees

Estimated Delivery

• Expected shipping begins Q3 2026
• This is an estimate and may change due to manufacturing, supply chain, or regulatory factors
• If we experience significant delays (more than 60 days beyond our estimate), we will notify you and offer the option to cancel for a full refund
• Pre-orders are fulfilled in the order they were received

Cancellation Rights

• You may cancel your pre-order at any time before your order ships
• Cancellations receive a full refund within 5-10 business days
• To cancel, email support@getpulsyn.com with your order number

Product Specifications

• As the Rune 1 is in active development, final specifications, features, and design may differ from pre-order descriptions
• We will communicate any material changes via email
• If changes materially affect the product's core functionality, you may cancel for a full refund

Communication

By pre-ordering, you agree to receive email updates about your order status, estimated delivery, and important product announcements. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time, but transactional emails (order updates) will continue until your order is fulfilled.

5. Pricing & Payment

The Rune 1 is priced at $160 USD (pre-order price). All prices are listed in US Dollars.

Accepted Payment Methods

• Credit and debit cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, processed securely through Stripe
• Cryptocurrency — Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT), and Monero (XMR), processed through our self-hosted BTCPay Server

Taxes, Duties & Fees

Prices do not include applicable sales taxes, VAT, customs duties, or import fees. These charges are determined by your local jurisdiction and are the responsibility of the buyer. For international orders, please check your country's import regulations before ordering.

Currency

All prices are in USD. For cryptocurrency payments, the equivalent amount is calculated at checkout based on current exchange rates.

6. Shipping

Shipping terms, timelines, and regional availability are detailed in our Shipping Policy. By placing an order, you agree to the terms described in that policy.

Key points: We ship worldwide. Pre-order shipments begin Q3 2026. Tracking information is provided once your order ships. International orders may be subject to customs delays.

7. Returns & Refunds

Our return and refund terms are detailed in our Return & Refund Policy. By placing an order, you agree to the terms described in that policy.

Key points: Pre-orders can be cancelled anytime before shipment for a full refund. After delivery, you have 30 days to return the ring for a full refund. Defective products are covered under our warranty (2 years for Rune 1, 1 year for accessories).

8. Warranty

The Pulsyn Rune 1 is covered by a 2-year limited warranty from the date of delivery. Accessories (charging dock, USB cable) are covered for 1 year.

What's Covered

• Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship
• Hardware malfunctions under normal use
• Battery degradation below 80% capacity within the warranty period
• Sensor failures not caused by physical damage

What's Not Covered

• Physical damage from drops, impacts, or crushing
• Water damage beyond the 5ATM rating (e.g., high-pressure water jets, diving below 50m)
• Damage from exposure to chemicals, solvents, or extreme temperatures
• Normal wear and tear (scratches, finish wear)
• Damage caused by unauthorized modifications
• Loss or theft

Right to Repair

We support your right to repair. Performing your own repairs or using third-party repair services does not void your warranty, unless the repair itself causes the defect you're claiming. We encourage DIY repairs and will provide documentation to help.

Warranty Claims

To make a warranty claim, contact support@getpulsyn.com with your order number and a description of the issue. We will either:

• Repair your ring at no cost
• Replace it with a new or refurbished unit
• Refund the purchase price if repair/replacement isn't possible

The remedy is at Pulsyn's discretion based on the nature of the defect and parts availability.

Statutory Rights

This warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory consumer rights under applicable law. In the EU, UK, Australia, and other jurisdictions with consumer protection laws, you may have additional rights that cannot be excluded.

9. Software & App License

The Pulsyn app and any firmware on the Rune 1 ring are licensed, not sold, to you.

License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Pulsyn app and ring firmware solely for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with your Rune 1 ring.

Restrictions

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software (except where permitted by law)
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works
• Distribute, sublicense, or transfer the software to others
• Use the software for commercial purposes without our written consent
• Circumvent any security or access controls

Updates

The app and firmware may update automatically. Updates may add, modify, or remove features. We strive to improve the experience, but cannot guarantee all features will remain indefinitely.

Open Source

The Pulsyn app may include open-source software components. These components are governed by their respective licenses, which are available in the app's settings. Our use of open-source software does not grant you additional rights to our proprietary code.

10. Subscription Terms

The Pulsyn app offers both free and paid subscription tiers.

Free Tier

All core health tracking features are free forever with no subscription required:

• Heart rate, HRV, SpO2, and temperature tracking
• Sleep analysis and scoring
• Activity and step tracking
• On-device AI health insights
• Data export

Pro Tier — $10/month

The Pro subscription unlocks advanced features:

• Cloud-enhanced AI health agent with deeper insights
• Predictive health analytics
• Advanced coaching and recommendations
• Cross-device sync (encrypted)
• Priority support

Billing & Cancellation

• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly
• You can cancel anytime from the app settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for partial billing periods
• After cancellation, you retain access to all free tier features

11. User Accounts & Conduct

Account Creation

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use our services for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt our services
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• Use automated systems to access our services without permission
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings — all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

12. Health Disclaimer

Intended Use

The Rune 1 is designed to help you understand trends in your health and wellness over time. It provides data and insights that may support a healthy lifestyle, but it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.

AI Insights

Health insights generated by our on-device or cloud AI are informational only. They are not medical advice and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical judgment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions.

Limitations

• Sensor readings may vary based on fit, skin type, movement, and environmental conditions
• The ring cannot detect all health conditions or emergencies
• Do not rely on the Rune 1 for critical health monitoring
• Accuracy may differ from clinical-grade medical devices

Emergency Situations

In case of a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on the Rune 1 or the Pulsyn app to detect or respond to emergencies.

Consult Your Doctor

If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have concerns about your health, consult your healthcare provider before using the Rune 1. The ring is not a replacement for regular medical checkups.

13. Data & Privacy

Your privacy is fundamental to how we designed Pulsyn. Please review our Privacy Policy for complete details on how we handle your data.

Key Points

• Your health data stays on your device by default — we never see it
• If you enable cloud sync, your data is end-to-end encrypted — we cannot read it
• We never sell your data or use it to train AI models
• You can export or delete your data at any time

Data Loss Disclaimer

Account Deletion

If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. Data stored locally on your device is not affected by account deletion — you control that separately.

14. Intellectual Property

All content on the Pulsyn website and app — including text, graphics, logos, images, software, and the Pulsyn and Rune 1 brand names — is the property of Pulsyn and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Trademarks

"Pulsyn," "Rune 1," and associated logos are trademarks of Pulsyn. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent.

Limited Use

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any Pulsyn content without our prior written consent. Personal, non-commercial use of our website for informational purposes is permitted.

Open Source

Where we use open-source components, we honor the terms of their respective licenses. A list of open-source licenses is available in the Pulsyn app settings.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

Liability Cap

Pulsyn's total liability for any claims arising from these terms, your use of our products, or our services is limited to the amount you paid for the product.

Excluded Damages

Pulsyn shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Loss of data (including health data)
• Business interruption
• Personal injury or property damage (except as required by law)
• Costs of procuring substitute products or services

Exceptions

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for:

• Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Gross negligence or willful misconduct
• Any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law
• Product liability as required by law

Statutory Rights

These limitations do not affect your statutory consumer rights, which may vary by jurisdiction. In particular, consumers in the EU, UK, and Australia have rights that cannot be waived by contract.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pulsyn and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your violation of these terms
• Your misuse of our products or services
• Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights
• Any content you submit or transmit through our services

We will notify you of any such claim and may, at our discretion, assume the defense with counsel of our choosing.

17. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Finland provides strong privacy protections and is where our servers are located.

Informal Resolution

Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at legal@getpulsyn.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Most concerns can be resolved quickly this way.

Arbitration (US Users)

If you are located in the United States, any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except as noted below. Arbitration will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

• Class action waiver: All claims must be brought individually, not as part of a class action
• Small claims exception: Either party may bring claims in small claims court if eligible
• Injunctive relief: Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property disputes

Arbitration Opt-Out

EU & International Users

If you are located in the European Union or other jurisdictions with mandatory consumer protection laws, you retain the right to bring claims in your local courts. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

Jurisdiction

For disputes not subject to arbitration, exclusive jurisdiction lies with the courts of Helsinki, Finland, except where your local consumer protection laws require otherwise.

18. General Provisions

Force Majeure

Pulsyn is not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, component shortages, labor disputes, government actions, or infrastructure failures.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. Pulsyn may assign or transfer these terms to an affiliate or successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by Pulsyn.

Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Return & Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pulsyn regarding our products and services, superseding any prior agreements.

Headings

Section headings are for convenience only and have no legal effect.

19. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time.

Notification

• Material changes: We will notify you via email at least 30 days before they take effect
• Minor changes: Will be reflected in the "Effective date" at the top of this page

Your Options

If you disagree with material changes, you may cancel any pending orders or close your account before the changes take effect. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
